Katie is a fully insured fire performance specialist and using a range of fire equipment can perform both ambient style or high impact stage fire shows. Katie carries additional fire insurance to cover large scale fire shows and can also provide remote operated cold sparks machines to really create a striking finale to a show.
Katie can perform fire solo, duo, trio or with her troupe of fire performers- the more performers involved the greater the variation in equipment and the bigger the show production value can be.
LED performance is a popular and emerging area of the events industry, perfect for venues which cannot support fire performance. Katie has multiple pieces of programmable LED pixel equipment which can display images, messages and even company logos. Katie can perform LED as a solo ambient performer, a short high impact show or as a duo.
Fire and LED Info and FAQs:
Fire: Katie's fire skill sets includes- fire eating, body burning, fire poi, folding fans, Russian fans, fire sword, fire palms, double ended torch, hollow torches, angle grinding and Vulcanes/large special FX. Katie has a range of fire costumes suited for all occasions.
Fire Duo: along with the above equipment the duo act will benefit from additional skills and equipment the secondary performer specialises in, duo acts also feature choreographed sequences and have a greater sense of flow.
Fire Troupe: The fire troupe brings a production feel to the fire show, showcasing the specialist skills of multiple performers, timed and choreographed to create a seamless and exciting fire show, plus fire illusions bringing a more dramatic feeling to the show,
Fire FAQs: a general risk assessment will be provided in advance of the event along with copies of PLI, an on site risk assessment can be carried out on the day of the event if required. Insurance is covered upto £10million with First Act.
Fire safety and management is key, Katie provides a fire extinguisher, safety blankets and fire bucket at every performance, all equipment is checked prior to fuelling before each performance.
All fire bookings require a designated performance area 3m away from the public.
LED: Katie's LED skill set includes- programmable pixel poi, programmable pixel Levi stick, LED ball poi, LED wings. Since LED performance is focused on the light trails rather than performer themselves Katie tends to wear dark clothing for this act but can adapt on request. Customised programming must be requested in advance and cannot be promised on the day, standard images include colourful patterns and shapes, non branded and inoffensive.
LED DUO: along with the above equipment the duo act will benefit from additional skills and equipment the secondary performer specialises in, duo acts also feature choreographed sequences and have a greater sense of flow. Again customised programming needs to be discussed in advance.
LED FAQS: LED is best performed in the dark, so ideally venue lights should be dimmed or for outdoor events it is better to perform after dusk. LED requires a reasonably large performance space, especially the duo act.
